I was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. After finishing grammar school I studied pedagogy and Romanic languages at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. In my youth I also finished seven years of Music school, playing the piano.
I’ve finished my education as a dance teacher, trainer and adjudicator within the Sports Faculty in Ljubljana.
As an adjudicator and trainer I have more then 30 years of experience and until the present day I was teaching, lecturing or adjudicating in 51 different countries on all five continents.
As a teacher and lecturer I specialize in dance technique, dance education, holistic approaches to dance training, characterization, music-movement relationships and partnering. My special interest is in studying and research of Latin-American music/rhythms and authentic dance forms. I collaborate on regular basis with dr. Olavo Alen Rodrigues from Havana, Cuba. Since February 2014 I organize yearly an educational project Cuban Experience in Havana in cooperation with leading Cuban experts from Instituto Superior del Arte. The purpose of the project is the research into authentic Cuban and Latin music and dance forms and their influence on competitive Latin-American dance styles. The project so far joined 272 participants from 28 different countries and will be continued in February 2017.
